Do you have a vision to change the current inadequate food and nourishment of the world? Do you want to eradicate hunger from the face of the earth? The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) invites entrepreneurs and scholars with actionable solutions to meet populations’ nourishment needs to engage in the Singapore Food Story (SFS) R&D Programme 2.0

The Singapore Food Story (SFS) R&D Programme 2.0 is an initiative by the Singapore Food Agency to bolster the nation’s food security through innovative research and development. The program focuses on four key domains: Aquaculture, Sustainable Urban Agriculture, Future Foods, and Food Safety. By supporting projects across various Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), the SFS aims to transform cutting-edge research into practical applications, ensuring a resilient and sustainable food future for Singapore.

Application Process

  1. Visit the SFA’s official website to view current and upcoming grant calls under the SFS R&D Programme 2.0.
  2. Develop a research proposal addressing the specific challenge statements outlined in the grant call, ensuring alignment with the program’s objectives.
  3. Submit your application through the Integrated Grants Management System (IGMS), ensuring endorsement by your host institution’s Director of Research or equivalent.
  4. Applications will undergo evaluation based on innovation potential, alignment with Singapore’s food security goals, and feasibility.
  5. Successful proposals are typically awarded within 6 to 8 months upon complete submission.
